Our CEO recently ran a live demonstration of Ainer by Crosslink's AI agents with the team from OKLA. OKLA — Taizhou OKLA Automobile Co., Ltd. — is an electric-vehicle manufacturer based in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, China, building electric scooters, electric motorcycles, electric delivery scooters, and e-bikes, across product families such as OVEGA, OMAX, OMIGO, and KNIGHT Plus. Our CEO delivered the session in person, and the photograph above was taken during the demo.
There was no slide deck and no script. The demo is deliberately plain: we showed how an AI agent is set up inside a real business, connected to the company's products, customers, and way of working, and then given responsibility for a defined piece of recurring work. For a manufacturer like OKLA, that conversation gets concrete very quickly — the repetitive work that quietly consumes a lean team every week. Dealer and distributor enquiries that arrive in several languages. Product and spare-parts questions that repeat in slightly different words. Catalogue listings, manuals, and service documentation that have to stay current across a wide range of models. Order and paperwork updates that need to land in the right place. Support questions that come in while the team is somewhere else entirely.
Why an electric-vehicle manufacturer is a good test case. The EV industry sits at an interesting point: demand is moving fast, the product range keeps expanding, and the sales motion is international. A company in that position is not short of work — it is short of hands to do it. That is exactly the gap AI agents are built for. Not a chatbot bolted onto a website, but an agent that holds real context about the business and takes something off the team's plate permanently.
WHY THIS MATTERS NOW, FOR EVERY SMALL AND MEDIUM BUSINESS
The most useful way to think about AI in 2026 is not as a clever tool you occasionally open, but as capacity you can add to a team that is already at its limit.
For small and medium-sized businesses, especially in mainland China and Hong Kong, the constraint has rarely been ambition or market opportunity. It is bandwidth. A handful of people are expected to handle sales, marketing, content, customer support, and administration at the same time, and the most valuable work — the relationships, the deals, the decisions — is what gets squeezed out. Until recently, the only ways to add capacity were to hire, to contract, or to work longer hours. All three are slow, expensive, or unsustainable.
AI changes the shape of that problem in a few practical ways.
It absorbs the repetitive layer. A great deal of the workday consists of the same tasks with different inputs: drafting replies, updating records, writing product copy, answering the question a customer already asked last month in another language. That layer is where AI is already strongest, and it is also the layer nobody enjoys doing.
It works across languages and time zones by default. Businesses serving customers in mainland China, Hong Kong, and overseas markets have to operate in more than one language and stay responsive beyond office hours. An AI agent handles that naturally, without a translation queue and without a second shift.
It keeps knowledge in the business, not in one person's head. When an agent learns a company's products, customers, and way of working, that context becomes an asset the whole team can rely on — instead of living in the memory of whoever happens to be on holiday.
It gets better where the business actually is. The value is not generic. The point of deploying an agent is that it is fitted to one company's real work, so what it improves is what that company needs improved.
HOW WE PRESENT IT
We are not selling software seats. An Ainer agent is deployed into the business, connected to relevant systems, and taught the company's products, customers, and way of working. One agent is licensed to one company for one year — one agent, one company. We introduce it the way we did with OKLA: through an in-person live demonstration, where a prospect brings the recurring work that is taking up the team's time and sees how an agent would take responsibility for it.
AI agents. Hired, not subscribed.
If you would like to see one working, you can book an in-person demo at ainer.tech/contact. Tell us the work that is absorbing your team's time right now — that is the most useful place for us to start.
